AYURVEDA

The word Ayurveda is composed of two Sanskrit – Terms – “Ayur” meaning “Life” and “Veda” meaning knowledge.

Therefore Ayurveda means the knowledge of life (or) science of life. It is defind as the science. Though which one can obtain knowledge about the useful and harmful way of life.

According to the Ayurvedic medicine Human Body consists of Three Primary life forces or biological humars. Which are vatha, pitha, & kapha these three doshas are called the Tridoshas a Balance among these life forces is essential for proper Health any imbalance among The Tridoshas causes a state of unhealthiness or disease.

Other basic concepts of Ayurvedic system are the Saptha Dhatus (the Bodily Tissues) Srotas (channels) ama (Toxins and filthy matter) and the Trinity of Life Body mind & soul awareness.

Knowledge about Ayurvedic type of medicine is divided into eight Branches. Those Branches are 1. Kaya chikitsa (general medicine) 2. Shalya (Surgery) 3. Shalakya (ENT and Opthalmology) 4. Graha Chikitsa (Psychotherapy). 5. Damshitra (Toxicology) 6.Bala chikitsa (Pediatries and Gynecology) 7.Jara (Rejuvenation) 8.Vrishya (Aphrodisiacs).
